by Judith Yeoh

A wedding invitation card is an essential element in wedding preparation. How can you properly invite guests without using it? So, that’s the reason why it is needed. Nowadays, since technology involves so many things in our lives, you may find that the invitation card is no longer just printed, but also create digitally. Have you received a digital wedding invitation?

Even though these two forms have the same main function, it does not mean that there is no difference between those two. To know the difference between the two forms of invitations, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of printed and digital invitation.

Printed Invitation Cards

Here are a few pros and cons of using printed invitation cards!

1. Formal Impression

By sending a printed wedding invitation card, it gives the impression that you are serious and officially invite the recipient to come to your wedding. Also, the printed invitation has the impression that you privately invite the recipient to attend the wedding.

2. Reach Everyone

Even though you see in many places, everyone is busy with their gadgets, that doesn’t mean you can assume if everyone is tech-savvy! Especially for the older such as your grandparents, they may not have an email address or social media. So, using a printed wedding invitation card is the best option to reach everyone.

3. Printing and Delivery cost

You cannot create a printed invitation card without print it. So, there must be a cost for material and printing services. Also, if you cannot send it personally to the recipients, then it must be sent by using a delivery service. Don’t forget that you have to pay for that too!

Digital Invitations

After a few information about the printed invitation card, it’s time to talk about some of the pros and cons of using digital invitation!

1. Affordable

The frequent reason why people choose a digital invitation instead of using printed ones because of its super affordable price. You don’t need to pay for materials, printing services, or delivery costs. That’s why it is a favorite choice for a couple who has a tight budget.

2. Paperless

Since the digital invitation card will be sent via email or social media, you don’t need to print it. This means that the digital invitation does not require paper in its manufacturing process.

3. Not Everyone Can Access It

As mentioned earlier, you can’t assume that everyone is tech-savvy. Because of that, although the digital invitation is cost-effective, not all recipients will be able to access it digitally. People have a place for a living, so they have an address. But, not all of them have an email address or even access to technology and the internet.

Tips: You are free to decide whether to use the printed wedding invitation card or the digital ones based on the information that you have read. But what if you choose both of them. Here are some points that you can follow in using both invitations.
